WORK TASKS Kiruna City Library is in an exciting time due to urban transformation and the move to the city's new cultural center. If you want to be part of creating Kiruna's future library operations, this is the position for you. Kiruna City Library includes a city library, library branches and a bookmobile. Library activities are aimed at all age groups - children, young people and adults. We are looking for a librarian for the city library who wants to be involved in developing our activities into the future and who wants to inspire reading and work to strengthen literature and the democratic society. You will be part of the city library's librarian group where you plan and organize the work together. You will be responsible for fiction and non-fiction in the adult section. This work includes media planning, purchasing, thinning, and working with reading promotion in the room and digitally with, for example, book tips and signage. Together with colleagues, you develop and implement activities both inside and outside the library, such as holding book circles or the service of booking a librarian. Kiruna is a municipality with large geographical distances and therefore it is of the utmost importance that you are also comfortable with conducting activities digitally. As a person, you are service-oriented, have good cooperation skills and are used to working independently. We also expect you to be creative and come up with your own ideas that you can put into practice. You are good at organizing your work and are able to reflect and follow up on activities to provide even better service to library users. We attach great importance to personal qualities.
