WORK TASKS Together with the municipality's existing community planning strategist, you will be responsible for the municipality's work on master planning. In close cooperation with the municipality's existing community planning strategist, you will initiate, lead, develop and coordinate municipality-wide development work linked to community planning. The service involves working with overall issues in various areas of community planning such as master planning, environment, climate, water, regional development issues, infrastructure, rural development, housing supply, program work and projects. It also includes responding to referrals, preparing political decisions and supporting several functions within the municipality, especially land and development engineers, planning architects and building permit officers. It also includes running and leading municipal-wide processes involving several administrations and providing decision-makers with qualified decision-making data. The community planning strategist will conduct an active citizen dialogue, monitor developments in the outside world and represent Kiruna municipality in the work area in various networks and in contacts with business, authorities and organizations. An important part of the work is to work with strategic land issues and to manage various land interests. QUALIFICATIONS You have an academic degree in urban planning, spatial planning or other education deemed appropriate by the employer and several years of professional experience in the field. You have knowledge and experience in master planning. Good knowledge of the spatial planning process such as urban planning, physical planning, community planning or spatial planning from municipal work is desirable. Experience of working with comprehensive planning projects and investigations as well as experience and understanding of what it means to work in a politically controlled organization is an advantage. You are familiar with PBL and other relevant legislation. You have good digital maturity and knowledge of GIS software as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Experience of working with land supply issues such as land purchase is an advantage.
