DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As Head of Department, you will be part of the management team and report directly to the Head of Social Services. In addition to the Head of Social Services, the management team includes four heads of department and a head of operations. To support you, you have a staff of experienced employees including SAS and MAS. The home support department currently has 10 unit managers who are responsible for the municipality's home care service, relatives' center, day and night alarm and short-term pool. In your role as head of department, you lead and develop the department together with the unit managers. This means that you ensure that the department's entire operations are conducted in a result- and goal-oriented manner with high demands on quality and development. In a committed way, you lead and develop the business forward towards set goals with responsibility for finance, staff, work environment and operational quality. You will collaborate with other members of the management team and contribute your ideas and development for other departments as a whole. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for people who have experience in managing and developing an organization and experience of responsibility for personnel, finance and operations. The applicant has an academic education relevant to the assignment. It is a merit if you have had responsibility for managing activities through managers in previous assignments. You have an interest in and knowledge of the activities relevant to the assignment and are well versed in current legislation. You have a good understanding of the conditions that govern a public sector organization and experience in municipal health and social care work. You will be confident in your leadership role and have the ability to engage and develop groups. In the role you have many contact surfaces and to succeed you need to value good cooperation. You are results-oriented, have good communication skills and as a leader you are a good role model through clear and committed leadership. You have the ability to see opportunities and solutions from a holistic perspective. Very good knowledge of Swedish is required, both spoken and written. We attach great importance to personal suitability. Interviews may be held on an ongoing basis before the application period has expired. We apply a fixed-term management contract in combination with a permanent basic employment within the municipality.
