Your role

You will work in a team with four other repairers/operators where you are jointly responsible for the operation and maintenance of Media's facilities. Media's area of operation includes, among other things, heating, ventilation, water supply, water supply from open pits, dust systems, exhaust boiler / district heating and compressed air.

At the Media department in Svappavaara, we have a strong community and short contact paths, which means opportunities for influence and participation in shaping and developing working methods and your working day. You will have strong support from solution-oriented colleagues and close cooperation with other professional groups at Media.

Your everyday life at Media:

• Operation of water conveyance in mines, investigations, troubleshooting and action proposals
• Monitoring and maintenance of pumping plants
• Dam inspections
• Remodeling in exciting environments
• Operation and maintenance of exhaust boilers, oil boilers and pressurized vessels
• Installation and maintenance in areas such as plumbing

What you bring

• High school diploma or similar education
• B-driving license (manual)
• You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Education or experience in industry or mechanics (meritorious)

LKAB's open pit mines are located in Svappavaara, four miles southeast of Kiruna. In these open-cast mines, we extract iron ore and waste rock by drilling and blasting, and then load, crush and screen the ore into a raw material for pellet production.
