We are now looking for two Construction Managers who want to help shape the future. Whether you're at the start of your career or have extensive experience in construction management, we offer a tailored role that matches your skills and ambitions. With us, you will have the opportunity to take a key role in exciting projects, with great personal responsibility and the chance to develop in a supportive and dynamic working environment. Are you ready to make a difference?

The most important job of the future

We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. And just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone on the journey with us, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and minerals industry?

Your role

We are looking for two Construction Managers to replace upcoming retirements. Whether you are a junior or senior construction management professional, we will tailor the position to your experience and skills. Our goal is to create an inviting work environment where everyone feels welcome to grow and contribute.

As a Construction Manager with us, you will be a key person in driving projects forward, with a particular focus on the construction phase. You will support the project manager by ensuring that the project follows planned objectives and timelines, as well as coordinating contractors, suppliers and operating organizations. During the construction phase, you will also monitor progress and ensure that both schedule and quality are maintained. You will also be active in contract procurement and help us select the best partners for our projects.

Your duties will include, among others:

  • Plan and coordinate construction work within the time, functional and financial constraints of the project
  • Ensure that health and safety and environmental work comply with applicable laws and requirements throughout the project
  • Lead and participate in construction meetings, coordination meetings and work meetings for the construction and civil engineering projects
  • Act as a contact person towards contractors and other stakeholders in the project
  • Responsible for coordinating the work environment on construction sites (BAS-U and BAS-P)

This is what you bring with you

We are looking for you who are solution-oriented, structured and thrive on working underground. You have the ability to make quick decisions and coordinate different stakeholders to find common solutions. You are also skilled at planning, prioritizing and building long-term professional relationships.

With the industry constantly evolving towards more autonomous processes and digitalization, it is important that you are adaptable, curious and willing to learn new technologies and ways of working. We are looking for a person who is driven and has a strong desire to develop in the role.

We also see that you have:

  • At least upper secondary education, preferably in electricity, construction, plumbing, or real estate
  • Good computer skills
  • B-Driving license for manual transmission
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience from mining operations or similar tasks
  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Experience from senior positions

This is what you get

  • Reward program
  • Free training at LKAB:s own gym and at our partners at the sites in Norrbotten
  • Free health care allowance and study support as well as access to art association, leisure association, mountain cabins and family activities
  • Enhanced parental allowance with up to 90 percent of your regular salary for up to six months (after employment for one year)
  • Help and support in case of illness or in matters of work environment, health, wellness and rehabilitation
  • Reimbursement for dental care and protective and terminal eyewear
  • Ability to apply for study grants both for you and your children
  • Ability to join our pension and insurance program with preferential rates

Other information

Start: By appointment but we hope there will be time for a handover period before the retirements in March and April.

Location: Kiruna

Scope: Full time. Probationary period may apply.
