The most important job of the future

We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and minerals industry?

The mission of the community transformation is to ensure land access with good foresight to secure LKAB's mining operations and growth plans. This means that about one third of the population of Malmfälten, corresponding to 10,000 people, will be gradually relocated. In total, about 5,000 homes and 700,000 square meters of residential and commercial space will be replaced within the framework of the community transformation.

Your role

As a Construction Manager, you will coordinate and manage our construction projects on site together with our contractors. You will work with a project team led by a project manager, where support and help from each other means that we drive the projects forward. The work is largely self-directed and you prioritize your days based on ongoing activities in the project.

The construction manager's main tasks include

  • Participate in the planning and coordination of construction work within the project's time, functional and financial framework
  • Ensure that the work environment and safety work is carried out according to applicable laws and requirements throughout the project
  • Convene and chair meetings specific to the construction project such as construction meetings, coordination meetings and work meetings
  • Act as the project contact person for the contractors in the construction projects

What you bring with you

  • Theoretical upper secondary education
  • Experience in similar tasks
  • B driving license
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience working on construction projects
  • Construction law and experience in management positions is an advantage

We are looking for a responsible and solution-oriented construction manager who enjoys working in a team. As a person, you are flexible and stress-resistant with good communication skills where you enjoy creating and maintaining relationships.

What you get

  • Motivation program that rewards success
  • Wellness and study support, as well as access to the art association, leisure association, mountain huts and family activities
  • Enhanced parental allowance of up to 90% of your regular salary for up to six months (after one year of employment)
  • Help and support in the event of illness or in matters of work environment, health, wellness and rehabilitation
  • Protective and terminal glasses and reimbursement for dental care
  • Possibility to apply for study grants for both you and your children
  • Opportunity to join our pension and insurance program with preferential rates
