Your role

As a mechanic with us, you work with maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and renovation of the mine's transportation facilities. The work is varied and takes place both in the field and in our workshops. You will be involved in the maintenance process from start to finish, from crusher renovations to rail replacements. You will belong to the Kiruna Gruva Bergtransport section, where we have the task of maintaining and developing fixed underground facilities.

Your everyday life as a mechanic:

  • Preventive and ongoing maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving of fixed facilities
  • Renovation of crushers, pins and tracks
  • Close cooperation with all production staff on fixed facilities
  • Perform the work according to LKAB:s work procedures, instructions and guidelines for safe and efficient implementation
  • Active participation in creating and updating work procedures, instructions and risk assessments.

This is what you bring

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Education or experience in industry/mechanics
  • B-Driving license for manual transmission
  • You should master Swedish in speech and writing

You are self-driven, make your own decisions and have good cooperation and communication skills. You enjoy working closely with a colleague and can collaborate with both the team and other professionals.
