About the position
LKAB Wassara is now looking for a R&D technician who wants to work at the forefront of technology with development, testing and drilling based on Coiled tubing technology. This technology is taken from the oil & gas industry and has for some time been adapted for the mining environment. The drilling with the Coiled tubing rig which is currently based in Malmberget. The service mainly involves drilling and testing with the Coiled tubing rig underground. The technology requires continuous development and adaptation to today's production systems.
In this role, you are a central part of the project and will be responsible for the execution and test run of prototype particles and be responsible for ensuring that the drilling rig is in condition to deliver, that the components are replaced and trimmed and that the prototype tests are drilled.
Your profile
As a person, you are technically interested and thrive in a development environment. You are used to working independently and with great responsibility. We would like to see that you have many years of experience in a mechanic profession (mechanics, hydraulics and electricity) as well as mining experience, if you have previously screwed in rigs / large vehicles, it is an advantage. In this role, you will be responsible for problem solving, developing solutions and performing drilling tests.
The position means that you get to be at the forefront of drilling technology development, which means that we offer the necessary internal training for the position.
The position requires a B driving license and approved upper secondary school grades.
