We are looking for an experienced Accounting Economist for the finance function within the iron ore business area

Your role

You will be part of the section for Accounting and transaction management, which has its main operations in Kiruna. The business is responsible for maintaining an efficient function for financial statements, transaction management and other accounting services within LKAB. During the year, we implemented a new business system with the aim of streamlining processes.

The position involves varied work within accounting and closing accounts. You can have areas that you are immersed in, but it also includes being able to support each other and be a back-up within the section. An important part of the assignment is to guide and support the business internally regarding accounting issues.

  • Monthly accounts and annual accounts

  • Reconciliations & Accruals

  • Reporting & Analyses

  • Current accounting

You will participate in the development of and investigations within the business. The work takes place in close collaboration with others within the finance function and other parts of the business. You will also have the opportunity for training and development in finance and accounting.

You have this with you

You have financial education at university level or long experience and competence in the field. We see that you have a few years of experience in accounting work and are preferably used to working in larger financial systems. A driving force for you is to work with continuous improvements. The main IT supports you will work in are IFS and Power BI. If you have experience with IFS or a generally in-depth IT competence, it is advantageous but not a requirement.

As a person, you are meticulous, structured, responsible and have a genuine interest in development in accounting. To thrive in the role, you are self-motivated, driven, communicative and have good collaboration skills. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of Excel. It is also important that you are flexible, stress-resistant for short periods and share your own as well as others' knowledge.
