LKAB's open-pit mines are located in Svappavaara, four miles southeast of Kiruna. In these open-pit mines, we extract iron ore by drilling, blasting, and then crushing and screening the ore into a raw material for pellet production. Our operations also include ore processing in our concentrator and pellet plant. The ST (Operations Support) department includes Automation, Media, Property Department, Project Department.

Your role
We are currently looking for a maintenance technician in electricity on a fixed-term employment of approx. 1 year. As part of our team of four maintenance technicians, you will be responsible for electrical and instrument maintenance throughout the Svappavaara field, with a focus on the concentrator (SA). You will be a key person in our work to increase the reliability and availability of our production facilities. The work involves close cooperation with both internal and external contacts.

In the position as Maintenance Technician EL the tasks mainly consist of driving the development of our maintenance towards effective preventive and remedial maintenance, where great focus is placed on systematically working with maintenance plans, agreements, plant documentation, spare parts optimization and rounding. You will also have a central role in maintenance planning within your area of responsibility and in the event of major breakdowns, together with other maintenance technicians in EL, instruments and crushing / mining.

We are looking for a responsible Maintenance Technician. You should be flexible and enjoy working both independently and in a team.

  • High school education
  • B-driving license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of electricity, low-current installations, switchgear and drive systems and electrical competence (meritorious)
  • A few years of experience in the profession (meritorious)
  • Experience with LKAB Svappavaara (meritorious)
