Our Agglomeration Laboratory is an important resource in LKAB's research in the refinement processes and its future opportunities for a transition to carbon dioxide-free pellet production. We are now looking for a group manager who, together with his colleagues, runs the business.

Your roleThe Agglomeration Laboratory

is a natural meeting point for LKAB's research resources. We have high-tech equipment, which is used to study both the cold part, rolling balls, and the hot part, burning balls. Methods and instrumentation vary, involving tests from microscale (a few grams) to pilot scale (several hundred kilograms of sample material).

We are now looking for a driven Group Manager who takes responsibility for staff and work environment, and leads and develops the team of research assistants. You will plan and coordinate research assignments and ensure that deliveries from the laboratory are followed up according to routine. An important part of the role is to continuously improve and develop our activities.

Your main tasks:

  • Lead a team of research assistants and ensure a safe working environment

  • Responsible for personnel and work environment issues

  • Drive and develop the team to achieve our goals

  • Contribute to the overall work of the section, including work environment, budget and business planning

What you bring to the tableYou

are a driven and communicative leader with good interpersonal skills and previous experience in leading teams. With a senior profile in laboratory or research activities, you have the ability to work independently while organizing, planning and prioritizing both your own and the team's tasks.

  • Academic education preferably with a technical focus

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written

  • B-driving license which is a requirement for all positions at LKAB
