LKAB processing Kiruna:

Kiruna Ore Processing's mission is to process the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are screening, enrichment and pelletization. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections in quality, technology and process development, material processes and Water and Dams. Your role:

In the role of leader, you have a broad and responsible mission to ensure a safe and efficient working environment, where quality, safety and continuous development are key elements. You will be a key person in driving the business forward by leading both personnel and machine-related processes, managing budgets and resources, and promoting a culture where improvement work is a natural part of everyday life. The role involves being a role model for your employees and a clear requirement setter, with responsibility for compliance with the company's guidelines and code of conduct.

Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Work environment and safety: Ensure that the business complies with health and safety requirements and lead delegated tasks.
  • Personnel Responsibility: Responsible for direct reporting employees, including recruitment, training and adaptation according to LKAB policy.
  • Machinery Responsibility: Prioritize maintenance of machines and ensure that operator maintenance is carried out according to established goals.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Establish and manage budget for KA3/KK4 and optimize resource use.
  • Planning and investments: Prepare the basis for investments and long-term plans (5-year plans).
  • Improvement work: Promote active improvement activities for continuous development, and develop procedures in the area of responsibility according to the requirements of the business system.
  • Reporting: Regularly report to the Head of Section on the status of the activities.
  • MBL negotiations: Initiate and follow up on MBL negotiations according to the negotiation order.
  • Prole model and requirement setter: Act as a role model and ensure compliance with the code of conduct.

We are looking for you who are a collaborative and structured leader, confident in your role and with the ability to make decisions even in challenging situations. You are solution-oriented and have the ability to build good relationships, creating an inclusive and engaging work climate where the team is motivated to achieve common goals.

We are looking for you who have previous experience in management and who are ready to take on new challenges. A university degree in chemistry, mechanical engineering or management is an advantage, but we also value experience and knowledge acquired in other ways. Competence from the process industry is also an advantage, but not a requirement.

The position requires approved upper secondary school grades, a B driving license and good knowledge of Swedish.
