About the business

Kiruna Malmförädling's mission is to process the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are screening, enriching and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections in quality, technology and process development, material processes and dams and landfills. Your role


We are now looking for a committed and experienced Section Manager for the Material Processes section within LKAB Iron Ore Business Area, Kiruna Processing. In this important role, you will have overall responsibility for an activity that plays a crucial role in the company's success. Material Processes supports the processing operations through efficient water and material handling, safe operation of dams and landfills, and delivery of quality machine services.

As Section Manager, you will be part of the processing management team and play a central role in shaping the future of the business. You have overall responsibility for the Material Processes section, which includes personnel and work environment responsibility for approximately 15-20 employees. You are also responsible for LKAB's dams, external water systems and the majority of wheeled surface transportation.

Your task will be to ensure that the business has clear goals, areas of responsibility and authority, as well as to drive continuous improvements and adapt the business to changing needs. You also ensure that all laws, regulations, instructions, quality requirements, agreements and LKAB policies are followed, while managing environmental and work environment responsibilities according to current delegation.

In your role as Head of Section, we want you to be a modern leader who is committed, coaching and motivating. You have a structured, planning and clear approach to work. You are positive, outgoing, good at collaborating and have high social skills. You find it easy to establish and maintain both internal and external contacts. You also have the ability to prioritize, but also the ability to opt out of tasks when necessary. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Requirements for the post

:
  • University degree, preferably in management/human resources or similar.

  • Previous work experience as manager/leader.

  • Knowledge of general rules for contract and machinery procurement.

  • Good communication skills.

  • B driving license.


Meritorious:

  • Experience in logistics.

  • Health and safety training.

  • CE driving license is an advantage.

  • General knowledge of LKAB's operations.
