LKAB Malmtrafik

LKAB Malmtrafik is responsible for loading, unloading and transporting LKAB's iron ore products on the Ore Line. We ship from the mines in Kiruna and Malmberget to the ports in Luleå and Narvik, as well as to SSAB in Luleå.

Your role

In this position as a locomotive repairer at LKAB Malmtrafik, you play a central role in the modernization of our IORE locomotives. You will work with mechanical rebuilds in the locomotive where quality and accuracy are important. The project is in a build-up phase where you will contribute by creating structure, order and routines for future working methods. The work is done in close collaboration with a team consisting of yourself and two electricians.

Your main tasks include:

• Mechanical work when rebuilding locomotives, including drilling, assembly and adjustment according to drawings.
• Preparations for modernization, by preparing material kits and equipment.
• Follow-up work and follow-up to ensure that the work meets our quality requirements.
• Building and documenting routines and work instructions and developing workstations.
• The role also involves a great deal of responsibility for carrying out the work correctly and according to established drawings and specifications.

What you bring

You are a structured and confident person who thrives on creating order and order. You have a strong focus on quality and the ability to work according to clear processes. We are looking for you who have an analytical ability and who can contribute to developing and improving our work environment and our routines.

In addition, you have:

• High school education
• Mechanical background, either through education or experience as a mechanic
• Work experience from mechanics, industrial mechanics, assembly or similar
• B driving license
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• The position requires that you meet certain health requirements such as good vision, normal color vision and good hearing.
• Education in electricity (meritorious)
• System knowledge of Maximo (meritorious)
