LKAB's open-pit mines are located in Svappavaara, four miles southeast of Kiruna. In these open pits, we loosen iron ore and waste rock by drilling and blasting, and then load, crush and sow the ore into a raw material for pellet production. Your role
The sovringsverket in Svappavaara opencast mine is an outdoor crushing plant that sows the material from the Leveäniemi mine . We have a strong community and short contact routes, which means that you get support from solution-oriented colleagues and have close cooperation with other professional groups.

As a mechanic, you become part of our whole and contribute to keeping our high-tech mining and mineral group afloat. It requires that you work in an organized manner and with a strong focus on safety. You develop products, construct and deliver everything from service and maintenance to small components and large steel structures. You are curious and driven to learn more. We believe in you and your capacity and give you both confidence and freedom to develop and develop.

Your everyday life as a mechanic:

• Component repairs
• Maintenance of crushers, sieves, magnetic separators and conveyors
• Solve problems that have arisen and plan and implement future maintenance efforts
• Close collaboration with all production staff
• Carry out the work according to LKAB's work routines, instructions and guidelines for a safe and efficient implementation.

You have this with you

• Experience or training in mechanics, industry, automotive technology or the like is a requirement
• B driving license is a requirement
• You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Experience in welding, plumbing, hydraulics or pneumatics is advantageous, as is experience of working at LKAB or crushers.
