We are now looking for a rock worker for the protective scrapping in the Malmberget underground mine.

The most important job of the future

We want to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who joins us on this journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and minerals industry?

Your role

As a protective scraper, your main task is to identify and remove loose rock in the mine, which can be done both manually and with machines. The work is mostly carried out with a demolition scraper, which is a machine that demolishes loose rock. Scrapping can also be done from a tractor and basket, where you instead work by hand with a spade. As a protective scraper, you are mainly responsible for the supervision and scrapping of fixed facilities, such as workshops, shafts and public areas, but will also collaborate with colleagues working on scrapping production areas. An important part of the work is scheduled patrols, where you inspect mining areas to detect cracks and loose rock.

  • Continuous reporting to process or mine staff on scrap objects

  • Shaft scrapping together with the control center

  • Scrapping with rig and by hand from basket

  • Ripping nets in production areas and cover drill holes for concrete spraying

  • Perform simple ropes of machines and the like

  • Make reinforcement orders in our systems

  • Rip nets with machines in case of crack formation and the like
