LKAB Kiruna Processing is responsible for processing ore from the mine into high-quality products. Our process includes screening, enrichment and pelletization. About the position
We are now looking for a driven and responsible Process Engineer to join our team and support the growth journey of Coal Sinter Plants 2 and 3 (KK2/KK3) in Kiruna. The Process Engineer is a key role in our business and in this role you will be responsible for the process engineering development work within the section. Your work will focus on the business reaching its production, energy and quality goals in both long and short term through daily process engineering support in the operations organization.

Since the tasks between the two plants are divided between two engineers, you will have a colleague to collaborate with. We expect mutual support and continuous development together to achieve common goals. An environmental engineer is also part of the organization and is responsible for our air emission treatment processes. Cooperation between the different roles is important to optimize our processes and ensure sustainability.
You will also be part of the management team for Kulsinterverk 2 and 3.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with process and product development to strengthen the business in terms of quality, capacity and results.
• Initiate and lead or participate in projects and investigations with a process technology focus.
• Represent Kulsinterverk 2 and 3 in process, energy and quality issues, both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with other team members and drive the development work forward towards common goals.

What you bring
We are looking for you who have university competence in areas such as mineral technology, metallurgy, mechanical engineering and / or technical physics. We would also like to see that you have an interest in or experience of similar activities, industry or production, as this gives a good understanding of the processes and workflows that are central to our business. Knowledge of LKAB's ore processing process is also meritorious.

In addition to this, you need to have an upper secondary education and good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing. B-driving license is a requirement for all positions at LKAB
