Job Posting End Date / last application date:

We are looking for a Production Manager to join our control center in Kiruna mine. In this role, you will lead a large and dedicated team and play a key role in ensuring that raw ore is transported safely and efficiently from the shaft to the dressing plant.

The most important job of the future

We want to lead the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. And just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who joins us on this journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and minerals industry?

Your role

As Production Manager at the Kiruna Mine Control Center, you will lead a team of 28 employees, including 10 process managers and 18 workers. The team is responsible for managing and supervising the transportation of rock from the underground shafts to the above-ground dressing plant. This includes managing the transportation of raw ore from mining sites via haulage levels, crushers and skips/elevators to ensure that the raw ore is transported efficiently and safely.

You will play a central role in creating a safe, inclusive and inspiring work environment where you support employees in their development and daily work. You will also be part of the management team for Kiruna Gruva Bergtransport. The role also involves:

  • Responsible for the annual operating budget and conducting monthly financial follow-ups.

  • Planning and following up on raw ore production on a monthly and weekly basis, including maintenance shutdown schedules.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and working hours, as well as initiating and maintaining quality assurance procedures for both health and safety and production operations.

  • During daily morning meetings, ensure follow-up and reporting of production.

What you bring

We are looking for you with good leadership skills, which for us means that you work in a relationship-oriented way, take responsibility and actively support your employees' development potential. You see the value of working together to achieve set goals, have an ability to engage and create team spirit, and take the initiative to drive the business forward.

You have at least upper secondary education and a B driving license is a requirement for the position. We also see that you have good computer skills in the Microsoft Office package. It is an advantage if you have experience of our mines' production systems, but it is not a requirement.

What you get

  • Reward program

  • Free training at LKAB:s own gym and at our partners at the sites in Norrbotten

  • Free health care allowance and study support as well as access to art association, leisure association, mountain cabins and family activities

  • Enhanced parental allowance with up to 90 percent of your regular salary for up to six months (after employment for one year)

  • Help and support in case of illness or in questions about the work environment, health, wellness and rehabilitation

  • Reimbursement for dental care, protective and terminal eyewear

  • Ability to apply for study grants both for you and your children

  • Ability to join our pension and insurance program with preferential rates
