Societal transformation's mission is to ensure land availability with good foresight to secure LKAB's mining operations and growth plans. This means that about one third of the population of Malmfälten, corresponding to 10,000 people, will be gradually relocated. In total, about 5,000 homes and 700,000 square meters of residential and commercial space will be replaced within the framework of the social transformation.

The staff works mission-driven with project management, administrative support that quality assures the entire unit's management system, working methods and routines and assists the head of unit in leading the business.

Your role

The role of the project coordinator is to actively support the work of assigned projects within the Social Transformation, together with responsible project managers and colleagues. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the project section within the Community Transformation in Kiruna, which is the client of the project coordinators within the staff.

As a project coordinator, your role is to maintain the structure of the project. You are expected to take ownership of the planning and implementation of your assignment. As each project has different support needs, the exact tasks are developed in consultation with the project manager for each individual project.

Your main tasks are to:

  • Ensure that established procedures, templates and checklists are used in the project
  • Manage and coordinate document management and technical documentation in the project
  • Prepare purchases
  • Follow-up of project finances
  • Assist in the distribution of drawings and other essential information
  • Assist in the preparation and follow-up of tender documents, procurement, contracts
  • Assist the project in coordinating resources
  • When necessary, contact stakeholders, authorities, suppliers and other professionals
  • Independently handle limited questions/assignments that arise during the course of the project

You will carry out the work in a structured and responsible manner with the support of your colleagues and clients. As the position involves handling sensitive information, confidentiality is important.

In this role, we are looking for you who are collaborative and have a natural sense of order and planning. You are ambitious and motivated to develop both individually and together with the team. Your sense of responsibility permeates your work, and you see solutions where others see obstacles.

We expect you to have:

  • High school education
  • B-driving license
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Good knowledge of the Office package, meritorious with knowledge of IFS
  • Experience of project work, preferably within LKAB
  • Post-secondary education in finance or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial management is meritorious
