The Svappavaara area processing is undergoing an organizational change to drive the transformation of our industry towards a sustainable future. We need to develop our maintenance to continue to be a reliable producer of iron ore. In the future organization, we need employees and leaders who want to be involved in influencing and developing our company LKAB through greater focus on our core business. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in building the new organization and together develop the refinement process.

Your role
As a project manager for Large Stops, you are part of a team with project managers, construction managers, project coordinators and safety coordinators who lead the planned stops in the pellet and enrichment plant. You work in close cooperation with engineers at the pellet and enrichment plants, among others. You are responsible for ensuring that shutdowns are carried out safely, efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. You have the role of BAS-P and are responsible for the design and project management of stops.

This includes:

  • Planning activities based on the needs of the business and based on the set budget.
  • Convene and lead meetings specific to the project.
  • Time plan for internal and external contractors and scheduling of activities.
  • Procure works and external contractors in consultation with procurement.
  • Preparing project risk analysis and health and safety plan.
  • Responsible for achieving project goals and milestones.
  • Follow-up of stops and development of improvement proposals.


This is what you bring

  • Degree with project / engineering focus, or other education that the employer considers equivalent, or extensive work experience from project management, project work, construction projects or similar.
  • You are committed, outgoing, flexible and structured and a good problem solver.
  • You have good communication skills, are easy to work with and build good relationships with others.
  • You are responsive to the thoughts and ideas of others, dare to make decisions and like good order and order.

It is advantageous if you have training in BAS-P / BAS-U.
