We are looking for a Section Manager for the infrastructure at the Kiruna mine who wants to take responsibility for innovation and development in ventilation, water conveyance and automation. As Section Manager for Infrastructure at Kiruna Mine, you will lead an operation consisting of approximately 80 employees across four workplaces: Mining Media, Ventilation, Automation and Water and Ventilation. Each site is led by a production manager, and there is also an engineer who also reports to you. Together you will ensure the operation, development and maintenance of critical systems for long-term and sustainable mining operations. You are responsible for setting goals and strategies, developing the section and your employees, and driving the work with a focus on leadership, work environment, finance and customer relations.
Your main responsibilities include:
Direct reporting to the Head of the Mine and active participation in the management team, together with the mine's other five sections and support functions.
Responsibility for the long-term development of the section in the field of health and safety, business development and skills management
Ensure business intelligence in the area of responsibility
Promote collaboration both internally and externally
Establish and develop relationships with customers and stakeholders
We are looking for a leader who has the ability to build relationships and act as a role model for employees. With a clear safety focus, you lead by being communicative and flexible, while seeing the big picture and adapting leadership to the needs of the business and changing conditions. A strong interest in continuous improvement and the ability to lift and develop the ideas of others are important qualities to succeed in the role. You also have:
-A college/university education, meritorious if you are a trained engineer
-Experience as a manager
-Very good language skills in Swedish and good knowledge of English, both in speech and writing.
- B-driving license
- Experience from mining operations is an advantage, but not a requirement
