About the processing in Kiruna
With us at Kiruna Malmförädling, ore from the mine is converted into high-quality products. The process involves three main steps: dressing, enrichment and pelletization. The department consists of eight sections, of which four focus on the main process and four act as support sections in areas such as quality, technology and process development, material handling and water and dams. Process and Technology Development Section
The Process and Technology Development Section, with the entire ore processing in Kiruna as its working area, is now looking for an experienced senior development engineer with a main area of expertise in mineral technology.
Our section focuses mainly on supporting and developing existing production processes to achieve the ore processing goals in areas such as production efficiency, quality, energy use and environmental impact. We have our office strategically located in the middle of the processing plants, enabling close cooperation with other sections that also support production. This location creates excellent conditions for cross-functional and dynamic collaboration across the entire ore processing operation.
With technical leadership as our watchword, we strive to implement improved process and technology solutions in ore processing in close collaboration with our colleagues. Through this, we contribute to driving innovation and continuous development in our business.
Your role
As a senior development engineer, you have a broad and important responsibility that includes running your own assignments, leading development assignments and projects, as well as actively contributing to other ongoing development efforts and plant projects. In addition to this, you support the operational activities within the ore processing and act as a mentor for your colleagues, which contributes to their development and strengthened competence in the team.

structured and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work to deliver high quality results.
You have many years of experience working with ore processing processes, with main competence in the mineral technical area. To be successful in the role, we look for you to have previously worked as an engineer in ore processing plants, for example as a process engineer or maintenance engineer.
Experience in leading roles, such as manager or project manager, is meritorious and gives you a strong foundation to contribute to our business. If you have also worked with the ABB 800xA process control system, this is a valuable advantage.
