In this role, you will be responsible for creating sustainable short-term plans for the mine, ensuring they align with our budget plans and adhere to our mine planning standards. You will be part of a dynamic team of 10 colleagues specializing in mine design and mine planning roles. Your main task include:
Develop and deliver monthly plans for development, drilling, and production activities.
Ensure that monthly plans align with budget plans of the Kiruna mine.
Actively participate in meetings with various groups (such as geology, rock mechanics, and operations) in the mine to gather feedback and updates.
Understand and implement the ground control management plan.
A B.Sc in mining engineering and ideally three or more years of operational experience within the mining industry.
At least basic planning experience and knowledge of Deswik.IS and Deswik.SCHED is essential for the role.
Understanding of sequencing, following the rock mechanics recommendations is critical for the role.
Responsible, driven, and flexible with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
A valid driver’s license (equivalent to Swedish Class B).
Fluency in English, with knowledge of Swedish being a plus.
