We are now looking for an experienced Strategic Project Purchaser to join our team to help drive the commercial process and lead the green transition.

Your role

In the role of Strategic Buyer within Projects and Community Development, you will commercially support the project business and the green transition with an investment need of between SEK 150-400 billion over the next 20 years.

The role will include:

• Analyze, ensure, and develop sustainable supplier markets, identify gaps and areas for improvement

• Be a driving force in developing and implementing procurement methods and strategies for our transformation projects in close collaboration with the project organization

• Plan, prepare and execute project procurements in accordance with our processes and procedures

• Responsible for supplier negotiations, signing contracts and developing and maintaining supplier relationships

• Monitor and report status and progress of projects and supplier performance

You will be part of the Iron Ore business area's purchasing department for Projects and Community Development and report to the responsible department manager.

In addition, we want you to have:

• High school or university education in economics/law/technology or other equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in purchasing
• Knowledge of general contracting conditions and contract law from a commercial perspective.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English
• B-driving license which is a requirement for all positions at LKAB

Additional:

• Experience in strategic or project purchasing, preferably in the process industry or construction sector
• Experience in project management, negotiation and procurement
