About the business
LKAB's open pit mines are located in Svappavaara, four miles southeast of Kiruna. In these open-cast mines, we extract iron ore and waste rock by drilling and blasting, and then load, crush and screen the ore into a raw material for pellet production. Your role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with a focus on maintenance stops for Svappavaara processing plant. We are now working to strengthen our maintenance department and one step in this development is to expand with a Maintenance Technician. The foundation for a stable production is laid with the maintenance work that we carry out during the various maintenance stops of the year. As a Maintenance Technician, you have great opportunities to influence how well we maintain our facilities.

You will be part of a team of engineers and technicians working towards the same common goals but in different areas of responsibility. You will work closely with the supervisors who carry out activities during our maintenance shutdowns. This position has an important role in the planning, implementation and follow-up of the maintenance stops which take place in cycles throughout the year.

This includes, among other things:

• Prepare and plan activities against the maintenance stops.
• Active participation in follow-up and take part in reported work that is the basis for future activities.
• Documentation management that is linked to machine components such as drawings and instructions.
• Spare parts management.
• Manage purchases against planned maintenance work.

This is what you bring with you

• Complete upper secondary education
• Knowledge and experience in industry/technology/maintenance
• B-driving license
• You master the Swedish language in speech and writing
• It is an advantage if you have previous experience of maintenance work in relevant operations and / or in LKAB's plants.

To thrive in the role of Maintenance Technician, you need to be curious about technology and processes in industry. You should be flexible and enjoy working both independently and in groups. You are responsible and driven and have good collaboration skills.
