About the business

Business area Special Products is a business where we are both an internal product and service supplier to LKAB:s core business, as well as a growing and significant external player that develops and markets industrial minerals for the construction, agricultural and cleantech industries, as well as drilling technology and full-service solutions for the mining and construction industry.

A large part of our business is based on a driven innovation and development work for more sustainable products, where we, for example, plan for an industrial park for critical minerals in Luleå for the recovery of residual materials and extraction / production of products, including phosphorus and rare earth metals.

Your Role

The role of work environment developer includes, together with colleagues and managers, ensuring and driving systematic work on work environment issues and inspiring sustainable work environment work within the business area's operations and projects. You are the business area's expert support in the work environment and lead the activities in work environment issues at a strategic level.

The role includes:

  • Support and develop: You will support the business in their work with the work environment and develop and analyze processes to ensure that these areas comply with LKAB's goals and guidelines.
  • Systematic improvement work: You work to ensure that work environment work is integrated as a natural part of the daily work, with a focus on continuous improvement and goal achievement.
  • Drive improvement projects: You lead and implement improvement projects in the work environment area, with the goal of creating a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
  • Expert knowledge and collaboration: You contribute with expert knowledge and work closely with different parts of the business to prevent ill health, risks and injuries and enable positive changes.
  • Manage and follow up: You are responsible for managing data, reporting and following up relevant KPIs in the work environment area. You assist with activities based on results and analysis to improve the business.
  • System tools and methodology: You support the business in the use of system tools and work methodology.

The position is organized under the Corporate Responsibility department in the Specialty Products business area and the Work Environment Developer reports to the Head of Section Safety First & Business Development.

The position includes travel to our locations: Kiruna, Malmberget, Luleå and Stockholm.

Your qualifications

Education equivalent to a university degree with a focus on work environment, behavioral science or equivalent knowledge acquired over time. As well as a few years of practical experience in operational work environment management. Knowledge and familiarity with ISO management systems and other industry-specific standards is an advantage.

As a person, you are communicative and can inspire your surroundings to action. You can work closely with managers and employees to create an understanding of and commitment to the work environment.
