About the service We are now looking for an administrative manager for the operational support unit at the Department of Technology and Mathematics (TVM). TVM has 350 employees and a turnover of almost SEK 423 million, of which just over SEK 300 million is related to research. You are the head of an administrative unit that consists of 28 employees, of which 5 employees are based in Skellefteå. You are part of the department's management team and in matters related to tasks within the department you report to the head of department, who is the head of the department. As an administrative manager, you are also part of the overall operational support for the entire university and are directly subordinate to the head of department for operational support. Your main tasks are to provide support to the head of department in matters related to the institution's operations and to other management functions in planning, control and follow-up matters. You coordinate and prepare the institution's internal operational planning and work with the production of decision-making documents and analyses. A major focus in the coming years will be issues around premises and work environment issues. The administrative unit you are responsible for constitutes a common and cohesive administrative resource for the entire institution. The unit's main task is to provide administrative support to head of department, department heads, subject representatives, education leaders, researchers, teachers, doctoral students and students in the main areas of economics, personnel and education. You are also responsible for spreading knowledge and following up on regulations, overall policies and routines. You participate together with four administrative managers from other departments in development work to develop and streamline administrative processes within the entire university. Qualifications The position requires a university degree with a relevant focus, preferably in the field of economics, or equivalent acquired experience that is deemed equivalent. You have worked in a senior position, preferably from larger organizations, and have extensive experience in working with issues in the real estate, premises and work environment area. We would like to see that you have also worked with financial management and HR strategic issues and are used to providing support to management functions where you enjoy contributing to the whole both strategically and operationally. We assume that you can express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. You are committed, results-oriented and find it easy to build good relationships with people around you and have a listening approach. You are a good communicator and can work consultatively and process-oriented. You create trust in collaboration with others and have a well-developed ability to think long-term and see the big picture. Your personal qualities are characterized by the fact that you are a good leader who can enthuse and motivate your employees in change and development work. You have courage and integrity at the same time as you are structured and quality conscious and work for good internal control. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
