The Division of Digital Services consists of the subject Information Systems and two centers, the Center for Distance-Spanning Technologies and the Center for Security in Society and Critical Infrastructures and belongs to the Department of Systems and Space Engineering. The department consists of about 35 employees. Our research focuses on a comprehensive level on sustainable digital transformation from societal, organizational and individual perspectives. We do this by conducting teaching and research in the areas of responsible digital innovation, data-driven decision-making and information security. Work tasks LTU's Predictive Movement project is at the forefront of transforming the transportation system through artificial intelligence. We have already developed a digital twin of the transportation network in Norrbotten and Helsingborg, and now we are expanding! Be at the forefront of innovation by working on a groundbreaking AI project that could transform the transport sector. Work together with companies to influence reality and contribute to projects by further developing our digital twin technology for transportation in Swedish regions. Skills and experience We are looking for: - Talented students with an aptitude for coding (JavaScript, C#, C++) and an interest in transportation. - Individuals who can collaborate - with Länstrafiken to improve public transportation in Norrbotten using our digital twin. - with Tillväxt Gotland to build a comprehensive digital twin for Gotland's transport network. Terms and conditions Employment as a lecturer is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5. Only those who have been admitted to first- or second-cycle education may be employed as a lecturer (HF Chapter 5 §10). Hourly wage/remuneration For all assignments, you will receive an hourly wage and valuable work experience for your CV. In addition to the hourly wage, holiday pay is paid in accordance with the Annual Holidays Act. Information to be provided The position covers up to 50% of full-time, i.e. an average of 2.5 days a week, from October 1, 2024, or by agreement, until November 30, 2024 with the possibility of extension according to HF Chapter 5. The place of employment is Luleå, alternatively another location. The workload may vary over time and by agreement, but the aim is that it is distributed in a way that makes it compatible with studies at the university.
