We are now looking for a lecturer in nursing with a specialization in pharmacology to teach and examine nursing, radiology and specialist nursing students in nursing and medical science. The role also includes responsibility for course management and examination at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The main focus of teaching will be pharmacology within the above educational programs and teaching takes place both on campus Luleå and via online platforms. As a lecturer in pharmacology, you are responsible, together with other teachers, for the development of the subject at both undergraduate and advanced levels. The position also includes being responsible for and actively participating in collaboration with the surrounding society and disseminating research results to others. Subject description Nursing focuses on areas that aim to improve human health, prevent illness and disease, restore and maintain health, alleviate suffering and protect human integrity and dignity. Key areas are human and health, environment and nursing action and processes related to these areas. The field of medical science provides you with knowledge of the human body, pharmacology and pathology. Qualifications: To be eligible for appointment as a lecturer, candidates must: - A university degree of at least 180 credits or equivalent - Demonstrated teaching skills - Completed training in higher education pedagogy equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Meritorious for employment as a lecturer in nursing with a specialization in pharmacology are: - Licensed pharmacist and/or licensed nurse with equivalent competence. Specialist nursing training is an additional merit. - Clinical experience as a pharmacist, nurse/specialist nurse, radiology nurse. - Experience in teaching pharmacology. - Ability to teach in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) and/or English. - PhD or equivalent scientific competence. Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to work independently are important qualities for this position. The ability to interact with the surrounding society and to inform about research as well as to develop national and international contacts and networks is important for the position. Information about the position The position is located at the Department of Health, Education and Technology in Luleå and is subject-wise linked to nursing with the educational programs nurse, X-ray nurse and specialist nurse. Teaching on other programs may be relevant. The service includes a degree of service of at least 50% and can possibly be extended. The period of employment is 12 months.
