We are now looking for a Communications Officer for the Center of Advanced Mining and Metallurgy (CAMM). CAMM was created as the strategic research area for sustainable use of natural resources in 2010. CAMM is funded by the Swedish government and consists of more than 50 scientists conducting fundamental research along the entire mining value chain: exploration, mining, mineral processing, metallurgy and environment. We are looking for a Communications Officer with empathetic communication skills to join our team. Examples of tasks - Write a range of media material, ensuring it remains consistent, upbeat and delivered in a timely manner - Unify all messaging and communications around CAMM's strategic plan to achieve positive awareness and brand alignment - Represent CAMM at events, conferences, workshops and awards - Evaluate and review opportunities to improve CAMM communication activities to ensure target audiences are reached effectively - Coordinate the management and updating of information on the new CAMM website and support the development and use of social media platforms - Respond to media enquiries Qualifications - English language skills (C2) - A degree in journalism, PR, marketing or a related field - Experience in similar role producing media releases and having regular contact with media organizations - Ability to work in teams and produce quality content - Familiarity with social media and web content - Good computer skills - Interest in research, mining and sustainability issues Scope and location We are looking for a Communications Officer for part-time, up to 50% based in Luleå. It is a fixed-term employment that extends to 2025-12-31 with the possibility of extension.
