Do you want to be involved in developing Luleå University of Technology's websites to become even more relevant, accessible and user-friendly? We are looking for you who want to work with content, structure and function on our websites - and who are passionate about making a difference through strategic and operational communication in digital channels.
About the role
As a digital communicator with a web focus, you work with the university's websites - ltu.se (external web), the employee web and the student web - both strategically and operationally. You develop content, structure and functions based on user needs and work with analysis and follow-up.
You will work closely with the web strategist, administrative managers and editors across the university. An important part of the assignment is to support and guide the organization in how the web can be used effectively to reach different target groups, in line with the university's communication goals.
You are also responsible for the further development and structuring of the university's media bank, MediaFlow, with a focus on accessibility, uniform use and compliance with GDPR.
Tasks may vary according to the needs of the business, and other areas of communication may be required at certain times.
You will be part of the Communication and Branding unit, with around 20 colleagues with expertise in areas such as strategic communication, press, graphic design, mobile media and photography. We often work in teams and offer a flexible working environment with modern facilities and the possibility of hybrid working. The university is an international environment where people from all over the world meet, which also requires good language skills and an open and unpretentious ability to cooperate.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and manage the content and structure of the University's websites
- Ensure that content complies with guidelines, tonality, accessibility requirements (DOS law) and GDPR
- Support and train staff in web communication
- Responsible for the structure and development of MediaFlow
- Work in CMS Sitevision and contributing tools like Siteimprove
- Follow up web statistics and initiate improvements
- Daily collaboration with web strategist, main editors and editors in different parts of the university
Qualifications
Requirements:

Academic degree in communication, web, digital media or equivalent
-
Several years of experience in strategic and operational work in web communication

Very good language skills and used to writing targeted texts in Swedish

Understanding of content strategy for web and digital accessibility (DOS law)

Good knowledge of GDPR, especially linked to web content and image management

Experience of working in CMS, preferably Sitevision

Interest in image communication and experience with media banks
