We are now looking for an economist for the university's business support. The position is a permanent position at the Accounting and Financial Control unit, which is the university's central finance function. The unit is responsible for, among other things, the university's financial accounting, financial administrative processes and for preparation and analysis in the financial management area. The unit prepares, among other things, planning assumptions, budget documents and annual reports. As an economist, you will be responsible for day-to-day financial work such as accounting for income and expenses, reconciliations, and also certain calculations and analyses. You are also involved in the university's financial statements and annual report. You support various processes and users and also contribute to the further development of working methods and procedures in various financial matters. You may be required to produce statistical data or decision-making documents. Qualifications The position requires a higher education degree in economics, preferably with a focus on accounting. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. If you have worked for a few years with accounting and/or have experience of accounting at a government agency, it is a merit. Good knowledge of Excel and AI-based tools is also a merit. We attach great importance to your personal qualities, which are characterized by good interpersonal skills and a strong sense of service. You have good analytical skills, are outgoing, work independently, have a structured approach and are a driver of change. You take great responsibility for your work tasks and are used to taking your own initiatives. Scope and location We are looking for an economist for permanent full-time employment with a location in Luleå. There is the possibility of remote work up to 40 percent.
