About the role Luleå University of Technology is now looking for a committed economist with responsibility for accounting and budget. This role means that you will play a central role in our organization, by ensuring that our financial processes are accurate and efficient. Your main responsibilities will include: - Preparing budgets, forecasts and financial statements at project and research topic/unit level. - Ongoing project monitoring and reporting to various funders. - Assisting with financial calculations and working closely with researchers and project leaders on research applications and presentations. - Present the finances of the research topic/projects in various contexts. - Assist with decision-making and communicate with funders and other stakeholders. As an economist with us, you will be part of a working group with a controller, several economists and financial administrators. The university also has a network for all economists where common routines and working methods are developed. Qualifications and experience Requirements - A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent. - Analytical skills and ability to work in a thorough and structured manner - Good communication skills and a willingness to cooperate. Merits - At least 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting, budgeting or similar. - Knowledge of financial systems and accounting principles.
