We are now looking for an economist for the university's business support. The position is a permanent position at the Accounting and Financial Control unit, which is the university's central finance function. The unit is responsible for, among other things, the university's financial accounting as well as financial planning, control and follow-up for central operational support and university-wide activities.
As an economist, you will primarily be responsible for budgeting, follow-up and financial accounting for some of the university's departments within the central business support. The work is done in close collaboration with the departments' management and operations, and as an economist you are a support around the budget and follow-up for the operations and the projects that are conducted. You present the departments'/projects' finances and assist with decision-making, calculations, follow-up/accounting and some ongoing accounting and supplier invoices. Financial reconciliations and statistical data may also be involved.
Qualifications
The position requires a degree in economics at university level, preferably with a focus on accounting. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. If you have worked for a few years with accounting and/or have experience of project accounting, this is a merit. Good knowledge of Excel is also a merit.

You take great responsibility for your tasks, are used to taking initiative and are comfortable presenting financial information.
Scope and location
We are looking for an economist for permanent full-time employment with a location in Luleå. Possibility of remote work up to 40 percent. Probationary employment may be applied.
