We are looking for a Fire and Safety Coordinator for Luleå University of Technology. The position is located at the Real Estate and Service Department, which is responsible for the university's premises supply, university services and environment and safety.
As a safety coordinator, you will play a central role in driving, coordinating and developing the university's fire protection and safety work. You will support the organization with procedures and systems for fire protection and physical security. The work involves both practical and administrative tasks, and the role is designed to support systematic fire protection work and work for follow-up and support to the operations to ensure high laboratory safety.
You will be in close contact with procured consultants and manage the authorization processes required to meet legal requirements. Other duties include conducting investigations and participating in the procurement of fire and safety services and systems. You will also work on developing and designing policies, procedures and strategies.
The mission of the Operations Support Unit is characterized by flexibility and a solution-oriented approach, which means that, based on your knowledge and experience, you may be involved in tasks related to other responsibilities of the unit.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Relevant academic degree with a specialization in fire and safety, or equivalent competence assessed as equivalent.
- Experience of working with fire protection in a large organization.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
- Communicative, structured and solution-oriented with the ability to drive assignments towards clear goals.
- Ability and interest in meeting and working with people.
Meritorious
- Experience in security issues in the public sector
- Commitment and experience in systematic fire protection and physical security issues
Scope and location
We are looking for a Fire and Security Coordinator for a full-time permanent position in Luleå. Probationary period may be applied. Access according to agreement.
