The Entrepreneurship and Innovation research topic is now looking for a researcher to join our group to conduct research in close collaboration with financial market actors. The research group collaborates with large national and international companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), policy makers and other research groups.
Subject description
Entrepreneurship and Innovation covers organizational development with a particular focus on business development based on innovative products, services and production solutions or ways of managing and organizing operations.
Project description
The project is linked to the Sustainable Finance Lab research center. The center was founded by a consortium of six universities and research institutes in Sweden that together generate cutting-edge research in close collaboration between financial market partners and researchers. With the consortium as a starting point, a broad network of academic and industrial partners has been formed to co-create the research and practice necessary for socially and environmentally sustainable transformation of financial markets.
The project specifically contributes to research in the field of financing entrepreneurship for the development of competitiveness and innovation by providing financing for the realization of growth and sustainability potential. The development of models and principles for the effective allocation of finance requires insight and understanding of both the decision-making processes of financiers and the consequences of such decision-making. The project also contributes specifically to research on gender in the field of entrepreneurial finance. The area can also include social sustainability, inclusion and diversity through entrepreneurship finance.
Tasks to be performed
The assignment includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Research related work within the Sustainable Finance Lab, including tasks such as design and implementation of data collection and analysis of collected dataset in collaboration with other researchers in the group. The work is based on case study-based research/qualitative methods and/or quantitative methods.
- Contacting financial market actors, including project partners such as banks, impact investors and business angels, for collaboration in research and for data collection.
- Co-authorship of scientific papers and reports with other researchers. Participation in workshops and webinars/seminars within the project.
- Writing research proposals.
- Planning and implementing popular science dissemination activities (e.g. webinars, popular science articles, workshops, presentations)
- Develop and teach courses in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Qualifications
We are looking for a PhD, preferably in entrepreneurship and innovation or a related field. You should have strong research credentials relevant to the project described above. You should be highly motivated by the project described above and have good interpersonal skills. The position requires good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English. Experience of self-entrepreneurship in Sweden, experience of financial advisory services in Sweden, and interaction with Swedish financial actors as well as Swedish academic institutions is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
