We are in an expansive phase both in terms of research and education.
You will be placed at the research subject psychology which belongs to the department of health, medicine and rehabilitation and the department conducts training for occupational therapist and physiotherapist degrees, bachelor's programs in health guidance and psychology, as well as courses in medical science. We are about 20 employees who work with research and education in the subject. Our research is conducted in several of psychology's subject areas such as clinical psychology, developmental psychology, sports psychology, psychology of witnesses, cognitive psychology, and technical psychology.
Subject description
Psychology is the systematic study of the experiences, behavior, and biology of individuals and their interrelationships and underlying mechanisms. The research aims to describe and understand human emotions, thoughts and behaviors in different situations and environments.
Work tasks
As a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology, you will teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and graduate level. You are expected to develop and lead courses in the field as well as contribute to the development of the educational programs available at the subject. Research in clinical psychology is a central part of the position, and you are expected to actively participate in and lead research projects. Furthermore, you will be involved in collaboration with working life and external partners, as well as contributing to the university's internal and external missions within the subject.
The main tasks include:
- teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students mainly in clinical psychology.
- developing and leading courses in the subject area.
- conducting and leading research in clinical psychology
- actively participate in research projects and publish scientific articles
- interact with working life and external partners
- contribute to the development of psychology programs and the overall strategies of the department
- participate in administrative tasks and committee work within the department and the faculty.
Eligibility
Qualified to be employed as a senior lecturer are those who
- A doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence or other professional competence relevant to the position
- Demonstrated pedagogical competence through reflective experience, teaching skills and teaching development
- Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge

- Licensed psychologist and experience in clinical work
- Experience of working with computer game problems
