Description of the subject Medical science is a broad subject area that includes anatomy, physiology, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology and pathology. Medical science is included in the nursing, radiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, health guidance and all specialist nursing programs. Medical science education staff are organizationally located in the Department of Health, Education and Technology and the Division of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation and will also teach in the Division of Nursing and Medical Technology. The Division of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation has an established research environment with three research subjects; occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychology. Duties and responsibilities As a Senior Lecturer in Medical Science, you will teach, supervise and examine students in medical science. You will be course coordinator and examiner at undergraduate and graduate level. You will meet students both on campus and via online platforms. As a Senior Lecturer in Medical Science, you will be responsible, together with other teachers, for the development of the subject of Medical Science at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Other tasks include being responsible for and actively participating in collaboration with the surrounding community and disseminating research results to others. You are expected to contribute to the university's development work, contribute to external research funding for the subject and participate in/show interest in management and administrative tasks. Developing national and international contacts and networks is also important for a senior lecturer. Eligibility The following persons are eligible for appointment as Senior Lecturer - A doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence or other professional competence relevant to the position - Demonstrated pedagogical competence through reflective experience, teaching skills and teaching development - Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Assessment criteria The following assessment criteria apply to the position: - Scientific excellence - Teaching skills - Other assessment criteria Other assessment criteria (weighted equally): - Qualified medical doctor - Clinical professional experience as a physician - Experience in supervising and examining degree projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level and experience in teaching medical science - Ability to teach in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and/or English) We are looking for you who have good collaboration skills, flexibility and the ability to work independently.
