We are looking for a substitute lecturer in nursing with a focus on psychiatric care who can teach in the nursing programs at undergraduate and advanced level. The Department of Health, Education and Technology conducts education at undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate level. The department provides education for nursing, radiology nursing, specialist nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and bachelor's degrees in health guidance and psychology. The department conducts research and postgraduate education in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, medical technology and psychology. We are now looking for a lecturer with a focus on psychiatric care.
Subject description
Nursing focuses on areas that aim to improve human health, prevent illness and disease, and restore and maintain health, alleviate suffering and safeguard human integrity and dignity. Key areas are human and health, environment and nursing action and processes related to these areas.
Duties and responsibilities
The position as a lecturer in nursing means that you have course responsibility, teach, supervise and examine nursing students at undergraduate and advanced level. Teaching on other programs may occur. Activity-integrated learning (VIL), which includes practical training, simulation, laboratory work and seminars are important parts of the teaching. You will meet students here at the university and via online platforms.
Qualifications
Qualified to be employed as a lecturer in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric care is the one who:
- Is a registered nurse with specialized training in psychiatric care or equivalent
- Demonstrated teaching skills
- Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge
Other assessment criteria (weighted equally):
- Have clinical experience as a nurse
- experience in teaching
- have good interpersonal skills, social skills and the ability to work independently
- be able to teach in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) and/or English
Information about the position
The position is a temporary temporary position on a full-time basis during the period 2024-12-01 up to and including 2025-11-30 or as agreed and with the possibility of extension. Location: Luleå
