We are currently looking for a Control Plant Engineer with experience in relay protection, CAD design and plant commissioning. You preferably have knowledge in protection, control and monitoring systems as well as troubleshooting, but most importantly, you have a strong technical ability and a great drive to learn and develop. This is how Group Manager Emma Svartsjaern describes: "Regionnät is responsible for the 40-130 kV network with associated distribution and regional substations. We are responsible for control rooms, communication and technical equipment in the field. Today, our group is facing an exciting development where we will take on new challenges and build up important competencies in the 130 kV area. This is a key part of our expansion to actively drive the green transition and contribute to the sustainable energy solutions of the future." About the role You will be part of the Regional Network Operations and Management group. The group consists of eight employees with technicians and engineers working closely together. A typical day for a Control Plant Engineer may involve starting the morning designing in CAD. Depending on what happens during the day, you may need to leave the office to go out into the field to troubleshoot a control system or analyze a malfunction. In the afternoon, you may be involved in a project where you contribute your technical expertise on, for example, relay protection and design, or documentation for equipment replacement. You will be involved in extensive project and reconstruction work, as major changes are taking place in the regional network. You will be involved throughout the project and work closely with different departments to develop technical solutions for the network. Furthermore, you will be actively involved in selective planning, dealing with current operational issues and performing network analysis to ensure efficient and reliable solutions. On-call duty is part of the role and will be introduced when you feel confident in your tasks, at a pace adapted to your development. You as a person To thrive in this role, you'll really enjoy problem solving and troubleshooting that can take hours, days or even weeks. You'll have a keen interest in technology and enjoy twisting and turning challenges you face. You are independent in your role and have the freedom to prioritize and vary your work day but at the same time need to be willing to adapt to what is happening in the environment and the electricity grid. You work well with others both internally and externally. Your manager is there for you as a support and sounding board, and your colleagues are happy to share their experience and expertise with you. In your group, there are control installation colleagues with whom you can consult in order to delve into specific issues, and you will be able to participate in group-specific projects within 40-130 kV.
