The design department at Nammo Raufoss provides design services to two business areas; Aerospace Propulsion and Ammunition.

In the department we are over 70 employees who work with product development, production support and production equipment. There is now a need to strengthen us further and we are therefore looking for creative employees with experience in construction and development. The position will provide good opportunities for professional development and collaboration across the organization. The job provides the opportunity for extensive collaboration with internal and external customers, as well as technical contact with national and international suppliers.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Lead and develop product design of rocket, aerospace and/or ammunition products
• Lead and develop design of production equipment
• Participation in customer meetings
• Configuration management
• Continued development and improvement of existing production equipment
• Tolerance calculations using. analysis tools
• Strength calculations in NX-Design Simulation
• Contribute to the department's continuous improvement processes and departmental activities
• Mentor/mentor for other design engineers.
• The above tasks are mainly carried out in collaboration with the project team to ensure that functional requirements are achieved through good solutions and a robust design.
• Assist in calculation and quotation work

Desired qualifications:

• Master/siv.ing, bachelor/engineer or vocational school engineer in machine/design. Other technical education/experience is also relevant.
• 10 years of experience in construction
• Broad experience from several projects or disciplines
• Good understanding in the use of GPS (Geometrical Product Specifications)
• Good English skills
• Experience in the use of CAD systems. Advantage with knowledge of Siemens NX.
