This position belongs to NCC Green Industry Transformation - a newly launched business area with a focus on delivering complex and extensive infrastructure and industrial projects in the billions of kronor. We are leading the development of future green industrial projects in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, and you now have the chance to be part of this journey towards a sustainable future. The role requires active presence in Gällivare.
About the position as Accounting Economist within major construction projects
Are you a structured and thorough person with an interest in finance and project management? As a Construction Engineer with a focus on forecasting, you will be an important part of our team, working with cost control, budget and forecasting for large and complex projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role involves day-to-day financial work, ensuring that costs and invoicing are managed correctly. You will receive and process invoices, link them to the right people and ensure they are accurate. By producing and analyzing forecasts, you'll provide managers with the decision-making tools they need to keep track of the project's financial status. Your work is crucial to ensure that costs are kept under control and that the client receives accurate and transparent information.
Examples of tasks:
Manage and check incoming invoices
Ensure correct cost allocation and budget monitoring
Provide ongoing financial forecasting and reporting
Support the commercial manager and project management with financial baseline understanding
Contribute to optimize the financial management of the project

Your profile
We are looking for you who have a background in economics or have equivalent experience from working in a project environment. Perhaps you started in a different function and naturally progressed towards the role of construction engineer? Whatever your background, it is important that you have analytical skills and a strong sense of accuracy and structure.To succeed in the role, we look for you to have:
Experience in financial administration, budgeting and forecasting
Ability to analyze and report the financial status of the project
Strong structure and accuracy - nothing should fall through the cracks
Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively
Ability to work independently and take ownership of your area of responsibility
Interest in the project's big picture - from environmental aspects to innovation and geopolitical factors
You will work closely with the Commercial Manager, Group Manager Forecasting and other key project staff. Processes, frameworks and guidelines are in place, but you are expected to drive your area of responsibility forward and ensure that financial reports and forecasts are of high quality.

Placementort
It is possible to take on this exciting role even for those who live elsewhere, provided that presence in Gällivare is at least 50%. The rest of the time is preferably spent where NCC has offices and / or there are good opportunities to get to Gällivare. For example: Stockholm, Gothenburg, Piteå, Kalix, Luleå, Jokkmokk, Kiruna. There are also direct flights from Kramfors.
