About the Building Sweden business area

NCC Building Sweden builds and renovates homes, offices, healthcare buildings, schools, sports facilities and public buildings for public and private customers in Sweden. With a high level of expertise in sustainability, digitalization and partnering, NCC Building Sweden develops projects together with customers in the early stages. The business area is divided into ten departments.

The position of Department Controller

In the role of Department Controller, you are responsible for leading the department's financial management - from budgets and forecasts to analysis and reporting. You will work closely with both management and production to ensure that the department's financial targets are met and exceeded. Your work contributes directly to NCC's long-term vision of creating value for our customers and society.

As part of the management team, you are also expected to be an active force in developing the department's financial understanding and contributing with your expertise. Your profile as Department Controller:

• You have a solid background in finance, preferably with experience in construction or project-based industries.
• You are analytical and a confident claimant in financial matters.
• You have a strong drive to create value, build relationships and work close to the business.
• You are skilled at creating structure, managing data and acting as a strategic support for management and production groups.
• You have good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and preferably experience of Power BI.
• You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
• You have a B driving license

Further information

The position is a full-time position and a permanent position. It is best if you are located in our office in Umeå, where most colleagues are in place, but for the right person we are open to discuss placement at one of our other offices in Skellefteå, Luleå, Örnsköldsvik or Sundsvall. The role includes some travel within the department's geographical area. Start according to agreement. Background check will be conducted in accordance with our security culture. A B-driving license is a requirement for the service
