The position of Group Manager Purchasing
As a Group Manager with us, you will have a key role in driving and developing our strategic purchasing work but also working operationally with purchasing. You will be involved in everything from supplier meetings and negotiations to contract signing and contract review, always with the aim of ensuring that our purchasing agreements comply with NCC's high standards. Many of our projects take place in close collaboration with our customers, which gives you the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-oriented environment.
In the role of group manager, you have personnel responsibility for nine project buyers who are spread across five locations and whom you support and develop so that they can perform their work in the best possible way. You participate in resourcing projects and tenders, analyze and improve purchasing processes and ensure that quality and delivery reliability are maintained.
You also have a significant role internally in creating an understanding of, and driving the purchasing work through all project phases such as the tender phase, design and production phase.
You report to our specialist manager and are part of the extended management team for the department and various teams with other purchasing colleagues in both the division and the business area.
Division Building Norrland
Building Norrland stretches from Sundsvall in the south to Kiruna in the north and consists of two production areas. We are about 350 employees, of which 125 are salaried employees, who work on building everything from homes and schools to bathhouses and commercial properties. The projects vary in size and complexity, which makes for an exciting and varied work environment
Your Profile as Group Manager Purchasing
We are looking for you who have at least five years of experience in operational and strategic purchasing. Knowledge of construction law, industry experience and leadership skills would be an advantage. You are a skilled negotiator with a long-term perspective on purchasing work, and you always strive to do business that benefits both NCC and our suppliers.
You enjoy working in teams and find it easy to create commitment and good relationships, both internally and externally. Your ability to communicate and motivate your employees is crucial for you to achieve success together. You see yourself as a coach who can inspire and lead with clarity and commitment.
You have a strong business sense and can set challenging goals together with the project managers, as well as convey business thinking and strategies to your employees.

You are fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Further information
The position is a permanent position. Location will be at one of our offices, Luleå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik or Sundsvall. As your coworkers are spread out in the different offices, there will be some traveling. This position is background checked in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
