The position as a Measurement Technician
You carry out accurate measurements according to the project's requirements, interpret technical drawings, follow specifications and ensure that the work is documented according to the project's requirements. Documentation and measurements with drones are an important part of your daily work. In close dialog with our project and site managers, you plan and drive the measurement work forward. You ensure that all measurement results meet quality standards. Developing models for deployment and machine control is an important task that you handle together with the project team. You follow a project from tender request to completion and in close cooperation with both production management and our customer. The work is carried out alternately between the office and work in the field.
We strive to work in an open and learning culture where everyone shares their experiences and knowledge, for example geodesy. Among other things, we have regular meetings and other forums where you have the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues. You also have every opportunity to increase your knowledge through our internal training programs.
You will be part of the measurement group in Norrbotten with our measurement expert Vit Tofel as your immediate manager.
About Civil North
Our Civil North department works with land, construction and infrastructure projects. We are about 500 dedicated employees who are divided into nine production manager groups within our geography Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland and Värmland.
Your profile as a Measurement Technician
You have at least three years of practical experience in the field of measurement, such as setting out/measuring in land and industrial construction, or a post-secondary education in measurement technology. You are familiar with GPS and Total Station. You also have good knowledge of 3D substrates, machine control and quantity surveying and master one of the following CAD programs: AutoCAD, Geo, Topocad or Civil 3D.
It is meritorious if you have any of the Swedish Transport Administration's authorizations, ie level 1 and 2 and experience of VDC / BIM.
The details of your work are important but also the ability to have a holistic perspective of a situation or project, for example how to achieve the best profitability in a project based on your area of responsibility. You have a proactive approach to your work and you thrive in an environment where variation and changes are constantly taking place in the projects and where you nevertheless maintain structure. Many parts of your work tasks are carried out independently, but it is equally important that you can contribute to good cooperation with the project team.
You are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
The position is a permanent position with 6 months probation. Location in Norrbotten as the project location varies, initially focusing on our large projects in Malmfälten. B-driving license is a requirement for the position.
