Water and Environmental Technology is NCC's specialist department in water treatment. Together with NCC's local construction departments, we make NCC a unique player in the water and wastewater industry as the only construction company where we ourselves have all the expertise from concept to commissioning. Our customers get a partner who can take overall responsibility. We now need to strengthen our team with several process engineers.  

The position of Process Engineer

As a process engineer at NCC, you have a broad role where you participate in all stages of the project, from early system selection to commissioning and handover. Your responsibilities include working with your process colleagues and other specialists in the department to develop system selection studies, process dimensioning, process design, process descriptions, functional descriptions and commissioning strategies. Through close collaboration with our customers and selected process suppliers, you will have the opportunity to work with both large-scale and smaller water and wastewater plants throughout Sweden, as well as in potential projects in Norway and Denmark.

In your specialist role in Water and Environmental Technology, you will also work closely with NCC's regional plant and construction departments.

About the department

Water and Environmental Technology currently consists of just over 50 employees with specialist expertise in the technical areas of process, mechanical engineering, electricity and automation. We have special project managers, project managers, costing engineers, purchasers, process engineers, mechanical engineers and installation managers with experience and expertise in the design and construction of water treatment plants.

NCC has carried out more than 40 water and wastewater projects in collaboration with clients with a contract value of more than SEK 15 billion. We now need more people in water treatment to meet a continued strong increase in demand in Scandinavia.

Your profile

We are looking for you who currently work as a process engineer and/or have previous experience in the role. You have or have previously had the role of process engineer in contracting companies, water companies or water management, process industry or as a consultant.  You have a good understanding and previous experience of process and plant design from municipal or industrial water treatment plants. You may have a focus on both drinking water and wastewater or a combination of both, and have knowledge of membrane technology. You have a technical education at college or university level with a focus on water, biotechnology, chemical engineering, ecosystem technology or other relevant focus.

As a person, you are flexible, committed, thorough and have good collaboration skills. You thrive even when the pace is high and can achieve results together with others. We are looking for a problem solver with a good ability to deliver good service. Since the work involves daily contacts with various customers and stakeholders, we also see that you are a good communicator who expresses yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English and holds a B driving license.

Additional information

The position is a permanent position with placement at your nearest NCC office. A B-driving license is a requirement for the position and regular travel to our projects in Sweden, Norway and Denmark is part of the role. There are also overnight stays. This position is background-checked in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
