About the Building Örebro/Värmland department  

The department is a strong player in large and complex construction projects. We work on a wide variety of projects in our region, from housing and offices to industrial premises, schools, swimming pools and hospitals for both private and public clients. Our department has extensive experience of technically advanced projects, including swimming pools, specialized industrial buildings and one of Europe's largest artificial ice surfaces, Tingvalla Ice Stadium. We have also recently completed schools and hospitals and look forward to continuing to build challenging projects in the future. It's reassuring to know that a lot of combined expertise is close at hand.  

The position of Project Management Specialist  

As a Project Management Specialist, you have a key role in ensuring that construction production is run efficiently according to schedule and budget while managing changes together with the project team. You will work closely with production management and design to set realistic deadlines and to assist the project team in the best possible way in the planning and cost control of the construction project. You will develop detailed production plans in dialog with project stakeholders and enable resources and materials to be in place on time. Documentation and continuous communication are a central part of the work, where you both update the project status and contribute with improvement suggestions to optimize production. We also want you to drive the department's work forward in cost management and forecast understanding.  

This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to combine structured work with creating real value in construction projects. This role is suitable for those who want to specialize in project management, in time management and/or cost management in the construction process. In this role, you will support several projects at a time and maintain an ongoing dialog with the various project teams.  

Your profile 

We are looking for you who have experience in project management or production, preferably in construction or industry. We are looking for a person who is used to working against deadlines and budgets, who has the ability to create clear and easy-to-understand schedules. A post-secondary education in a relevant field or experience of time management in various production roles within the construction process is meritorious as well as having previous experience of working with cost management. You work proactively, see the big picture and thrive on structured work. Experience of time planning software, such as Power Project or equivalent is important, and that you have a good ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems. Experience of working with different costing programs is also an advantage. We work in the spreadsheet program MAP.

The position is a permanent position with placement at our office in Örebro or Karlstad. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on our final candidates. A B driving license is a requirement for this position.
