About the Building Örebro/ Värmland department

The department is a strong player in large and complex construction projects. We work on a wide variety of projects in our region, from housing and offices to industrial premises, schools, swimming pools and hospitals for both private and public clients. Our department has extensive experience of technically advanced projects, including swimming pools, specialized industrial buildings and one of Europe's largest artificial ice surfaces, Tingvalla Ice Stadium. We have also recently completed schools and hospitals and look forward to continuing to build challenging projects in the future.

We are local and have a large mandate in the department, while at the same time we have a large organization behind us where we benefit from the entire NCC's expertise. It is reassuring to know that a great deal of combined expertise is close at hand."

The role of Project Manager - from concept to construction

As a Project Manager, you play a crucial role in the early stages of projects and act as the link between project development and production. You'll lead a team of specialists in areas such as energy, estimating, procurement and production, while coordinating with external consultants and clients. Together, you transform the architect's early visions into system and construction documents. Your most important task is to ensure that all requirements - both statutory and project objectives - are met, so that production can be carried out safely and efficiently.

We can guarantee you many exciting challenges in a dynamic working environment where your ability to balance a holistic approach with attention to detail will be crucial to success. We strive for continuous development by taking on complex and challenging projects. Getting all disciplines to work together can be demanding, but you don't see it as an obstacle. You understand the differences within the team and use communication and clarity as your main tools. Our goal is to be a workplace where we put the work environment and equality in focus - and where you will be an important part of shaping the future.

You will be responsible for the feedback of experience of the design work in the department and be part of our national network for design management within the business area. Read more about the role: Project Manager at NCC

Your profile

We are looking for you with at least 4-5 years of experience where you have either worked as a project manager or have another leading role in design or production. You may have a background in construction, VDC and production and thus have a great understanding of construction processes, construction technology, costs and construction law.

You are a generalist with a strategic mind that still realizes the importance of the details. It is also important that you feel confident in your leadership and dare to trust others, but at the same time know that reconciliations and requirements are important for a project to be successful. As a project manager, you have many internal and external contacts and not everyone has the same view, so being responsive, diplomatic but also decisive are qualities this position requires.
