The position as Project Manager
As Project Manager for our land operations in the Sundsvall area, you will be responsible for both large and small projects such as water and sewage systems, roads, streets and groundwork for residential areas. You have overall financial responsibility for the projects and personnel responsibility for about 35 employees, including about 15 civil servants.
Your task is to carry out the projects awarded to you within specified time, quality and cost limits in accordance with our contract with the client. You are involved at an early stage, maintain customer contact and are responsible for ensuring that the customer's expectations are met. In your role, you drive and lead the production process together with other employees in the project. You are responsible for ensuring that production is carried out in accordance with NCC's values, policies, laws and agreements. Ensuring that our workplaces work safely is one of the most important tasks you have and which you prioritize highly.
You will report to Claes Sundqvist, Production Manager for Land and Construction in Västernorrland.
Your profile as Project Manager
You have several years of experience in construction production in either land, civil engineering, concrete, road construction or from the client side. Basically, you have a construction engineering education and good knowledge of construction law and the entire Office 365. You also master Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
As you have overall responsibility for both the project's finances and staff, you also need to have very good knowledge of the entire production process, which includes planning, production calculations, risk assessments, financial follow-up, various production methods and experience of leadership.
As a person, you find it easy to build relationships with your coworkers and understand the importance of creating teams that work together. One of your driving forces is to do good business and therefore you understand the importance of building close customer relationships so that together you create good projects. We also believe that you have the ability to stay calm in stressful situations and that you dare to make decisions under pressure.
About the Civil North department
The Civil SE North department builds and renovates infrastructure. The work covers the entire chain, from design and construction to production and maintenance in infrastructure, civil engineering and service in ground and water works, etc. The department has a turnover of about SEK 2 billion and we are about 450 employees. We are divided into seven production areas where you will belong to the production area Land and Civil Engineering Västernorrland.

The position is a permanent position based at our office in Sundsvall and the position involves a lot of travel. Therefore, a B-driving license is a requirement. This position is background checked in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
