We have now begun our journey to become an even stronger player in the hydropower segment, as we see how the market for this type of challenging construction project is increasing in Jämtland and in neighboring counties. In addition to hydropower, we also see a strong market in the segments of water and wastewater facilities and power transmission projects. To be part of this upcoming market, we now see a need to strengthen our business with another project manager who will take responsibility for a larger project.  

Our projects are large and technically advanced. As a project manager, you offer customers a total commitment and take responsibility for production methods, safe workplaces and structured forms of collaboration.

The position of Project Manager Large Projects

You will mainly work with projects in hydropower but also other types of construction projects and have the main responsibility for the implementation of large projects including progress, quality, work environment, finance and environment. You will be assisted by a team of civil servants and professional workers. As a project manager for large projects, you will be responsible for a project with a turnover of around 100-200 MSEK per year

You will support the site manager throughout the production process, manage customer contacts and ensure that the customer's expectations are met. In some cases, you will also participate in the tender process and always focus on selling complementary projects to existing customers.

You report to Lars Simon, Production Manager for the Hydropower Central and Civil Engineering / Land in Jämtland.

About the Civil North Department

The Civil North Department has about 450 employees and operates in land and construction from design and construction to production and maintenance in infrastructure, civil engineering and service in, among other things, land and water works. We are divided into several production groups where you belong to our business Hydropower Sweden.

Your profile as Project Manager

You have many years of experience in running major construction projects, from about SEK 200 million, in civil engineering, houses or from the client side, as well as experience in managing staff.

As you have overall responsibility for both the project's finances and staff, good knowledge of project management is required, which includes planning, production calculations, risk assessments, financial follow-up and various production methods. You are driven by doing good business and understand the importance of close customer relationships to create successful projects.

You thrive in the role of leader and understand the importance of setting clear goals and communicating to your employees. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships and create functioning teams.

You are fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English.

Further information

The position is a permanent position with placement mainly on assigned projects within the group's geography and to some extent at our office in Östersund. Car and driving license are a requirement as the position involves a lot of traveling. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on our final candidates.
